Altar Drilling uses a small, track-mounted core rig capable of drilling to 600 feet with HQ tools or to 1000 feet using NQ tools. The rig is trailered behind a pickup truck. It is self-propelled, with a footprint of only 6.5 feet by 9 feet. If the terrain is not too extreme, the rig can be walked cross-country to your drill site. The tracks provide a stable platform for drilling, and with a little cribbing or shovel work, the site can usually be drilled without building a pad.
We are fully equipped with storage tanks, pumps and water line to provide drilling water to the rig. It is not necessary that a water truck be able to access the site. Our equipment is capable of pumping water over a distance of up to a mile from our tanks or a natural source to the rig, including a vertical lift of up to 700 feet.
We have a capable and resourceful crew that is committed to getting your job drilled.
If we can reach your site with a four-wheel-drive pickup, we can drill it for you!
Altar Drilling has drilled projects from the deserts of southern Arizona to the tundra of northern Alaska. We have many satisfied clients. Please contact us to be put in touch with enthusiastic references.
